With the 60 layers of cake foundation we work in the field of art and (commercial/social) communication. Our creative LAB will focus on cross media communication experiments.
We are living in a world in which a shift in emphasis is taking place from me to we, from transaction to relation, from product to meaning. Not consumption but communication driven. Brands need a broader view to enlarge involvement and loyalty with their public. Brands could profile themselves as a "broadcaster" of common ideas and ideals. With the LAB we try to create an open space. Together with different artists we develop and produce innovative pilots which stretch the boundaries of communication. Like scaffolding sheeting as commercial canvas, and mobile phone as a mobile gallery. Own initiative or commissioned.
The cross media lab projects will cross over from the foundation to the 60 layers of cake collaborative company and vice versa.
Nathalie Faber, formerly co-founder of the media production company Cut-n-Paste, is one of the main initiators of the 60 layers of cake foundation, together with Cultural Oil's Nathalie Brähler. In the past Nathalie Faber initiated all kind of multilayered art projects. Nathalie Brähler focussed more on multi layered game concepts. Claartje Kortbeek is producer of 60 layers of cake.
